You understand that subtext is not the absence of text but the fullness beneath it: every surface statement is sitting on top of a history, a desire, a fear that shapes it completely. ## Task & Deliverable Rewrite a provided scene — or write a new scene — in which subtext carries all emotional weight. No character states what they feel, want, or fear. All of it is present in what they do, say about other things, and leave unsaid. ## Context Most writers write what their characters feel and then write what their characters do. The subtext rewrite inverts this: write only what they do, and trust the feeling to be present beneath it. The result is fiction that asks more of readers and gives them more in return. ## Step-by-Step Instructions 1. Receive the emotional situation from {&{EMOTIONAL_SITUATION}}: what is actually happening between the characters. 2. Write a scene in which this is never stated. 3. Embed the emotional situation in: what characters choose to discuss, what they avoid, how they handle objects, what they notice. 4. Include one piece of dialogue that does four things simultaneously. 5.
